The launch of MedTech Scientific day and Expo
In partnership with the (MED-CAL) project, i-CARE project launched the activities of MedTech Scientific day and Expo, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Omar Milad, President of the University, Vice-Presidents of the University, many members of the University Council, Dr. Mazen Abu Amr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and Prof. Dr. Riad Al-Khudari, representative of the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence, Dr. Muhammad Aqel, project manager (MED-CAL), Dr. Ahmed Issa, project manager (I-CARE), representatives of partner universities, and representatives of relevant local and international institutions, in the tourist chalets resort on the seashore of Gaza City.
The opening of the MedTech Expo
After the closing ceremony of the scientific day, the audience went to cut the ribbon for the opening of the exhibition, which was organized in one of the halls with the participation of (28) projects submitted by students and graduates of the College of Engineering and Information Technology and Medicals faculties, and with the participation of many private and public sector institutions represented by Hamad Hospital for Prosthetics, the Center for Prosthetics, and Kimball Company The exhibition included innovative ideas and advanced equipment in medical equipment engineering and its applications.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, a workshop entitled: “Assistant Technology, Reality and Challenges” was organized, and the workshop was moderated by Dr. Suad Ghabban from the College of Applied Medical Sciences at the university, with the participation of Dr. Sami Owaimer, representing the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Moussa, representing the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Professor Ghassan Felfl. Representing the Ministry of Social Development, and Mr. Jamal Al-Razi, representing the NGO Network
